Package received

Hello All,
Here are the pictures of the package delivered yesterday. The adopted students were very excited as the letters of their individual adopters were in their hands. Some students were a little disappointed. However, they were happy to see their friends receiving the letters. It is a good idea that you sent flower seed to them. So far they have shared them with other friends. They hope by the time you come to Cambodia, you will see the flowers bloom. Nontheless, they wonder if those flowers can exist in the hot and humid climate in Cambodia.
We have learned Xmas song for two days already. We'll be singing that song in our party which will be held on the 24th Dec. I made video from my digital camera of the Xmas song reheral but it's a large file so I'll have to find the way to resize the video before I can attache it to you. The children love noodles so I will make fried noodles with beef and veg for them. They wish you could be here with them. However, they all send their best wishes for the upcoming Christmas and New Year to all of you.
MERRY CHIRSTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Please take a look at the attached.
Best wishes,

how is the situation?

Hello Anja,

Thanks for your concerns. The school was reopened since last week. This is now the second week. I am sorry for not sending you a bit quicker. Everything is fine. People are now working hard to replace losses. It's a great disaster. You may see the attached photos of the school's surrounding. Fruit-trees died as well as vegetables. Students have to help parents do the farming so they don't show up at school regularly.

Anyway, thank you for letting us know about yourselves. At least we know that you are fine and that you are going to have Christmas gathering. We are also going to have a Christmas party as usual. We wish you all the best. I''ll print your email so that the students know the contain of your letter.

I have to go back to the village now. Have a good time and send our regards to all adopters and those who have supported us.

Best wishes,

Cha Cha,

photos of aid delivery

Hello All,

Here are photos of the relief delivery. The photos were taken 5 days ago. I am sorry that I didn't send them early since I had to go to Phnom Penh to attend my friend's aunt wedding. The photos of school can tell you how much the water had risen. And, today the floodwater has risen higher than the last five days.  The tables of the school are completely submerged. Many people and children get skin problems caused by the contaminated water. Medecines are now delivered.

The families of the adopted children and the villagers send their best regards, and gratitude to all of German friends. Please pray for us!!

Best regards,

Sokhom and 4 other students now passed the high school exam

Hello Anja and Lars,
I have a good news to tell you. Sokhom and 4 other students now passed the high school exam. The result was announced last week. It was a great day for us to know about success. Their families are all excited. I am so proud of them. The students' families are very much thankful to your support.
Sokhom and 4 other students have not decided which university they want to go. All of them want to be teachers. Sokhom also wants to go to Agriculture school in Phnom Penh. Let's see after they take entrance exam. However, Sokhom has another wish. He wants to work in any hotel in Siem Reap. He hopes he can help his family with the wages he earns. The students want also to have your suggestion. Please inform Sokhom's adopters Susanne and Marcus about this joyful news.
Regards,
Cha Cha,

raincoat delivery

Hello all,

Here are some more photos of the school. You can see more photos of raincoat delivery and the road condition to get to the school. It's very difficult. As I am writing to you now the water level has kept rising nonstop. The muddy road in the attached photos is now covered with flood water. I'm quite worried about it. Consequently, I must close the school for some days until the water recedes. It can be very dangerous for small children to walk in the water. I'll take some more photos for you. You'll see how much it's changed.

Best regards,

pakage received,

Hello all,

Thanks for the letters to the individual students. Chomroeun and Savong are waiting for my translation, but I handed the task over to Thanet and Rasy. They must learn how to appropriately translate the letters. The students have been quite busy with their farms. It has been raining alot recently. We hope the harvest this year is good.

I received the package of letters last week and I took some photos for you too. The letters and pictures moved us a lot. It seems that the Angkor trip had just happened yesterday. Chanteang and Chanty were suprised to look at their own photos with big glasses on. Sothearat was jealous of Nada since Nada received the most pictures and letters.

The students and I wish you good luck and happiness.

Best regards,
